The owner of this new build requested a kitchen with two islands — one, with the range, would become the workhorse, while the other would be the party island. Amber and Paige opted for a combination of stained Alder and painted black cabinetry to jive with the rest of the home’s contemporary-meets-wine-country-hills design. The expansive kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances including a built-in espresso machine, perfect for the morning after an evening of drinks and food. The backside of the eat-in island is clad with the flooring material, integrating it seamlessly into the surrounding great room. The waterfall ends on each island provide a sleek modern flare. Along the wall behind the sink, five large windows provide ample valley views. Just off the kitchen is a sizable butler’s pantry/laundry room, complete with its own sink and even more storage.
